Importation of Methadone: theoretically possible

Foreign travellers wishing to bring methadone into Ethiopia for personal use as medication must carry with them a prescription from a licensed Ethiopian doctor. Currently there is hardly any chance to find one. Therefore, we strongly advise a home prescriber to contact the Ministry of Health or any Ethiopian diplomatic mission to receive further information.
