Importation of Methadone/Buprenorphine: possible

According to the Jamaican Embassy in Washington, DC (USA) travellers are allowed to bring into Jamaica methadone or buprenorphine provided they carry with them a letter from their prescribing GP/clinic stating the patient's personal data and detailing daily dosages and the total quantity of the substance/medication prescribed. In case travellers carry bottles, the bottles must show the patient's name, prescription material (international name of substance), and dosage.
